Porto.

Portugal's second city. Lower prices than Lisbon, with the Douro wine region on the doorstep and the Atlantic coast within half an hour.

Character

Lower prices,
more character.

Porto is cheaper than Lisbon and has a more distinctive character. The Ribeira district along the Douro is UNESCO World Heritage. The wine lodges are on the other bank; the Atlantic coast is half an hour's drive away.

The climate is more variable than in the south: more rain in winter, milder summers. That keeps the surroundings green even in August. The Douro valley on the doorstep makes Porto a hub for wine tourism.

Our 9 Porto properties are in the historic centre (Ribeira, Foz, Cedofeita), with additional listings in Vila Nova de Gaia and the Douro valley. Under €500k there are still real options in the centre.
